Scratchin' the surface.

My graphite teacher, Brian Call, would frequently be at fear and aw about my scratchy style. He strongly encourages me to peruse impressionism.

These are a Birthday gift for a friend.

(Yes, I know that's a Mandelorian helmet.)

Mufasa's Ghost

Sometimes I have periods where I cannot make a single decent, darn, thing. It's an unpleasant feeling of unfulfillment, and drags me down to the point where I even begin to doubt my ability. (True, I'm not the cat's meow with art...) When worst comes to worst, I just pray to God that I can make something that can take my breath away. This paint is one of those master pieces. Mufasa's Ghost is far from perfect, but the colors and mood of it touches me profoundly.
13.5"x10.5" Canvas stretched on frame. Paint mixed with Golden glass beads.
