The second Sergei saying is (this is paraphrasing, really, but the flavor and lesson is still intact), "Art of coloring and art of painting are two different things. When you do art of coloring, you make outline of horse, or of bush -apple. Then you fill in the horse, and the bush, and the apple. And that's it. In art of coloring, some of the color of the horse goes into the bush. You put some color here, and here; it doesn't stay inside the lines."
